Pregnancy in Islam

https://gnations.net/2016/12/12/pregnancy-in-islam/

Once a woman has confirmed her pregnancy, she should express her gratitude before Allah Ta’ala as this is indeed a great bounty of Allah Ta’ala. This is such a boon that many people beseech Allah Ta’ala throughout their lives for pious children but Allah Ta’ala has destined otherwise. In fact one of the greatest Nabîes of Allah Ta’ala, Hadrat Ibrahim (Alayhis salaam) used to supplicate to Allah Ta’ala most profoundly and frequently. Even Hadrat Zakariyya (Alayhis salaam) used to supplicate for children most passionately and fervently during the latter part of his life. Hence, a Muslim woman is required to express her gratitude unto Allah Ta’ala for this great bounty. Gratitude may be expressed in the following ways: 01. Recite the following Du’aa very frequently: Allahummâ Lakal Hamdû Wa Lakash-Shukru Translation: O Allah! All praises are due to You alone and I express my gratitude unto You alone (for granting me the honour of motherhood) 02. Allocate a fixed time for two Rak‘aat of Nafl Salaat. Whilst in Sajdah, make Du‘aa abundantly. Recite the following Du’aa as well: Rabbi Hab Liy Min-Ladunka Zurriyatan-Tayyibah Innaka Sam‘iud-Du’aa Translation: O my Lord! Bless me from your side with pure children. Verily You are all-hearing of the Du’aa. 03. Recite the following Du’aa as well: Rabbi-j‘alniy Muqeema-Salaati wa min Zurriyatiy Rabbanaa wa Taqabbal Du’aa Translation: O my Lord! Render me as well as my progeny as establishers of Salâh and accept our Du’aas. 04. Similarly, express your gratitude from the heart in such a manner that you stay happy and try to stay happy at all times. Try to forget all your past sorrows. Build your dreams and keep your hopes and spirits high. Ponder over the bounties of Jannat. Instead of embroiling yourself in the daily disputes with the mother-in-law and sisters-in law and instead of involving yourself with the unbecoming behaviour of your husband, maintain strict silence. On the impending happiness of the birth of your child, maintain a friendly and trouble-free relationship with all. If you do tend to hurt anyone, apologise immediately and try to forget about the dispute. If you continue vexing others, the evil effects of this nature will fall on the unborn child as well. The conditions of the mother during pregnancy, in fact even her spirit and perceptions during this state has a profound effect on the unborn child. Hence, a Muslim woman should express gratitude at all times especially during the period of her pregnancy. This gratitude should in turn develop in her the love of Allah Ta’ala. She should ponder that since Allah Ta’ala has blessed us with so many bounties, we should also devote ourselves to Him. To disobey such a majestic benefactor – by strutting about veil-less, watching television, videos, backbiting etc. – at any time and especially during pregnancy is not acceptable. Allah Ta’ala showers His bounties upon us and we in turn disobey Him!?

Child is in action during Salah

Assalamu alaykum!
My question is about what a mother can do when during her pray her kid(s) starts to do something what (s)he should not and definitely she wants them to stop it but she is praying but she doesn't want to stop her pray. I thought clapping hands is fine, like in this Hadith: https://islamqa.info/en/20047

Sheikh Khaled Fekry:
If your child 👶 is in danger while u are praying , u could or you should get out of salah to rescue him .
If he did something which he shouldn't do whilst you are praying , u can raise your voice to get attention of people around you , to care of the child .
If u are praying in jamaha as ma''moom, you are allowed to applaud (clipping ) ,so the imam or other musaleen will get their attention to any thing happening.

Jazakallah khayran but I have more questions...
1. What if I am praying alone and the children  are not in danger but if they continue the thing what they should not so than sure they will be in danger...what should I do, still I can raise my voice up so the children will realise they should stop it???
2. What is Ma'moom?

Sheikh Khaled Fekry:
praying
a- before your salah , try to be sure your kids are safe , so they will not interrupt your praying .
b- during your salah ,if you feel something could happen to your children ,u can raise your voice ( in recitation or tasbeeh..)so the children realise they should stop .
c/ if there is any danger , u just leave the salah , to save your kids .👩‍👧‍👦
Ma'moom : means , your are praying behind an imam , i.e. Not alone

Protection of the home

suraht albaqarah
The Hadith is authentic in sahih Muslim :
«لَا تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ قُبُورًا فَإِنَّ الْبَيْتَ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ لَا يَدْخُلُهُ الشَّيْطَان»
(Do not turn your houses into graves. Verily, Shaytan does not enter the house where Surat Al-Baqarah is recited.)
Also, `Abdullah bin Mas`ud said, "Shaytan flees from the house where Surat Al-Baqarah is heard.'' Ad-Darimi also recorded that `Abdullah bin Mas`ud said, "Whoever recites ten Ayat from Surat Al-Baqarah in a night, then Shaytan will not enter his house that night. (These ten Ayat are) four from the beginning, Ayat Al-Kursi (255), the following two Ayat (256-257) and the last three Ayat.''
It's clear that protecting your house is by reciting surahat albaqarah in the house 🏡 itself .ie at your home

Missing rakha

missing rakha
If you miss rakha :

a-if you are still in salah , you realised that you missed rakha , you should make up this rakha and do tashahud then you make 2 sujoud saho before taslim

b- if you just finished your salah , and remembered you missed rakha , you still can stand up to make this rakha , and do tashahud then 2 sujoud saho then taslim.

C- if you have finished your salah and moved , then realised you missed one rakha , it's better to do the whole salah again .

Sujoud Saho : is two sajdah before Taslim and ending your salah to cover the mistakes you done in your salah .

In this case , if a women ends her menses and she can't do ghusul ( away from home , no water , no place to have her shower ,or she is ill and water will harm her ..,) in these cases ,she should do Tayamum then pray , and she should get her ghusul as soon she get its facilities.

Zakaah al-Fitr & 8 Basic Errors when Paying it

Summarized Rulings Regarding Zakaah al-Fitr

1. What is the ruling regarding Sadaqah al-Fitr?

Ibn Baaz said:

Zakaah al-Fitr is mandatory upon every Muslim, young or old, male or female, free or enslaved (al-Fataawaa 14/197).

2. With what is the Zakaah al-Fitr given?

Ibn Baaz said:

A Saa’ (four handfuls) of food, dates, barely, raisins, and cheese; and according to the most correct opinion of the scholars, what is also included with these types is anything that the people nourish themselves with in their countries like rice, maze, millet and anything similar to these.

3. What is the measure for Zakaah al-Fitr?

Ibn Baaz said:

What is mandatory for this is one Saa’ from the food of the country and its measurement is with Kilos—approximately three Kilos (al-Fataawaa 14-203).

4. When is the time for giving Zakaah al-Fitr?

Ibn Baaz said:

It is given on the days of the 28th, 29th, and 30th as well as the night of ‘Eed.  It is also given in the morning of ‘Eed before the Prayer (al-Fataawaa 14/32-33).

5. What is the reason for giving Zakaah al-Fitr?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

To show gratitude for the blessings of Allaah upon the servant regarding the breaking of the fast of Ramadaan and its completion (al-Fataawaa 18/257).

6. Who is Zakaah al-Fitr given to?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

It is not to be given except to the poor (al-Fataawaa 18/259).

7. What is the ruling on entrusting children or other than them with giving Zakaah al-Fitr on a person’s behalf?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

It is permissible for a person to authorize his children to give Zakaah al-Fitr on his behalf at its time even if he is in another country at the time for work (al-Fataawaa 18/262).

8. Is it permissible for the poor to authorize someone else to take the Zakaah al-Fitr for him?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

It is permissible (al-Fataawaa 18/268).

9. Is there a specific statement that should be made when giving Zakaah al-Fitr?

We do not know of any specific Du’aa (Supplication) that is said at the time of giving it (al-Lajnah ad-Daa’imah 9/387).

10. Is it permissible to give Zakaah al-Fitr in its worth (in money)?

Ibn Baaz said:

It is not permissible to give its worth (with cash) according to the opinion of many scholars due to its opposition to the direct statement of the Prophet—صلى الله عليه و سلم—and his companions—رضي الله عنهم (al-Fataawaa 14/32).

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

Giving it in cash will not suffice, because it has been prescribed to be given in food (al-Fataawaa 18/265).

11. Is it permissible to give Zakaah al-Fitr in a country different from the one its giver is in?

Ibn Baaz said:

The Sunnah is to distribute it amongst the poor in the country of the one giving it and to not give it in cash in a different country so that he can enrich the poor from his country and satisfy their need (al-Fataawaa 14/213).

12.  Where is Zakaah al-Fitr given?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

Zakaah al-Fitr is dispensed in the land that you are in upon breaking the fast [of Ramadaan] even if it is far from your country.

13. Is Zakaah al-Fitr given for a fetus?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

It is not given on the fetus’s behalf due to it being obligatory; rather it is given because it is highly recommended (al-Fataawa 18/263).

14. Is it permissible to give Zakaah al-Fitr to Non-Muslim workers?

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

It is not permissible to give it to other than the poor from the Muslims (al-Fataawaa 18/285).

15. Is the Zakaah al-Fitr for a single person given to just one individual or can it be dispersed amongst several people?

It is permissible to give the Zakaah al-Fitr for a single person to an individual just as it permissible to distribute it amongst a number of people (al-Lajnah ad-Daa’imah 9/377).

16. What is the ruling on the one who accepts Zakaah al-Fitr and then sells it?

If the one who took it was deserving of it, it is permissible for him to sell it upon receiving it (al-Lajnah ad-Daa’imah 9/380).

17. Delaying the giving of the Zakaah al-Fitr to after ‘Eid without an excuse.

Ibn ‘Uthaymiin said:

Delaying it until after the Salaah is Haraam (impermissible) and it will not suffice (al-Fataawaa 18/266).

As salamu alaykum,

May Allah forgive me for any errors I might make in writing this article, but because it's Zakah Al-Fitr time, the time is NOW to get this info into your hands. And to forward to other Muslims so they can do their Ibadah correctly.

8 Basic Errors Muslims make when Paying Zakat Al-Fitr

By Muhammad Alshareef

I feel compelled to put this together because I’ve seen the following errors being committed even since I was a young boy. In sha Allah, you can help me spread the word by sharing this article with your community, friends and family.

What is Zakat ul-Fitr?  Think “Iftar”, Zakat Ul-Fitr is the charity that we pay at the end of Ramadan.

Here is the foundational hadith that establishes the obligation of Zakat ul-Fitr:

Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam), made Zakat al-Fitr compulsory on every slave, freeman, male, female, young and old among the Muslims; one Saa` (a measurement: four double handfuls) of dried dates or one Saa` of barley.

[Sahih Bukhari - Arabic/English, vol. 2, p. 339, no. 579]

To understand Zakat ul-Fitr, here is a good summary of it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zakat_al-fitr

But unfortunately, our community makes some basic errors in the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr that must be clarified.

Error One: Paying at Eid Salah

Some people go to Eid prayers and drop money into the donation box thinking that they have paid their Zakat  ul-Fitr.

No, Zakat al-Fitr, which is food, must be in the  hands of the needy family BEFORE Eid prayer.

If someone goes to Eid prayer and pays then it is GUARANTEED that the money will NOT arrive on time. And thus the person paying is sinful for having missed the payment of Zakat al-Fitr.

May Allah forgive us.

Error Two: Snail mailing the money overseas

Basic principle as before: the Zakat al-Fitr, food, MUST be in the hands of the needy BEFORE Eid prayer. One cannot mail the money overseas and have it arrive in the hands of the needy after Eid prayer is over.

However, if one is able to get the Zakah al-Fitr to the needy overseas BEFORE Eid prayer is conducted in their locality, then in sha Allah it’s alright.

Error Three: Not paying

Yes, as simple as this error is, it is HARAM to skip the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr. EVERYONE must pay Zakat Al-Fitr, every member of the household. So if you have 8 people in your house, Zakat Al-Fitr must be paid x 8, even if the youngest member is just a few days old.

Error Four: Confusing Zakat ul-Fitr with Zakat ul-Maal

We are talking about Zakat al-Fitr here (think “Iftar”, i.e. Ramadan). Zakat Al-Maal (Maal literally means wealth), is the Zakah due on ones money – and that could be due any time during the year depending on when it was due.

Error Five: Giving money instead of food

Although some scholars have allowed giving money instead of food, the spirit of Zakat Al-Fitr is to give food to the needy of the community, NOT money.

The Companion of the Prophet, Abu Sa`eed al-Khudree, radi Allahu 'anhu, said, "In the Prophet's time, we used to give it (Zakatal-Fitr) as a sa` of food, dried dates, barley, raisins or dried cheese".
[Bukhari - Arabic/English vol. 2, p. 340, no. 582]

Error Six: Giving one’s Zakah al-Fitr to a charitable building project

Some people mistakenly give their Zakah Al-Fitr to a charitable building project: like the building of a Masjid, or Islamic school.  There is a difference of opinion on this issue, but suffice it to say that the spirit of Zakah Al-Fitr is that the needy should have plentiful food on Eid.

All eight types of recipients of Zakah mentioned in the Quran are HUMANS, not “building projects”.

Error Seven: Giving Zakat ul-Fitr to non-Muslims

Charity is given to both Non-Muslims and Muslims. However, Zakah al-Fitr charity is something exclusive to the MUSLIM poor and needy. Hence, one could not give Zakah Al-Fitr to any needy person on the street. “Regular” charity can be given to them, but not Zakah Al-Fitr.

Error Eight: Delaying distribution

Sometimes Masjids might collect Zakah Al-Fitr money and then put it in a bank. It doesn’t reach the needy for months and months. The correct method is to give Zakah Al-Fitr immediately when it is due.

These are my eight. You are welcome to share other common
errors on my facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/nationbuilder.prime

In sha Allah, if you have Zakah questions, I encourage you to seek counsel from your local sources of knowledge. People you can speak to directly.

With best wishes to see you succeed at the highest level!
