🌴Personal Lessons per Juz Series!
Action points to transform your character through the Quran.
❤Personal lessons: Juz 1
2:67
Take the commandments of Allah azza wa jall seriously - how can we be arrogant towards Allah by questioning His commands?
2:74
When the heart goes hard a person can't do anything- the hard heart is even worse than a rock. Some rocks crumble out of fear of Allah azza wa jall! How is your heart? Is it humbled out of fear of Allah?
2:79
You canot hide the truth - when you know the truth convey it and don't hold it back to gain any wordly benefit - for example to be liked or to please others. Eg telling someone "it's ok not to wear a hijaab"
2:85:
You can't pick and choose bits from the Quran which suit you - you have to believe and act upon the entire Quran!
2:92
Everything that you love more in your heart than Allah - get rid of it! (Bani Israeel started worshipping the cow because of their love for it) When you start loving something more than Allah it will lead you to one bad deed after the other.
2:102
Destroying a home- causing discord between a husband and wife- is very loved by shaytan because it's the nucleus of the society. Make dua' for a good home each day!
2:104:
Speak clearly and well to prevent confusing others. Sometimes people speak in a way to make people fill in the gaps causing miscommunication or even leading to suspicion.
2:124:
Ibraheem alayhi sallam achieved what a whole nation achieves, why? His sincerity. How sincere are we?
2:128
You should worry about your children's deen above anything else! Make strong and sincere dua each day for your children to be those who establish salah and therefore be muflihoon (successful ones).
2:132
Always advise your children based on the Deen and what Allah azza wa jall wants for them - not based on your personal desires.
To be continued inshaaAllah.

Daily Meditations on the Meanings of the Quran’s 30 Ajiza
∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
🔺The Second Juz: Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:142-252
The second juz is a further explanation of Allah’s commands. It emphasizes the urgency of obedience to Him alone. What does this mean for the ummah? Simply that we are a unique nation, made up of those who fear Allah (swt) and who live in submission to the guidance He gave to the prophets. This guidance is explained more thoroughly in Surat Al-Baqarah than in any other surat; it’s the only surat that details all of the five pillars of Islam: prayer, fasting, charity, declaration of belief, and pilgrimage. These are the actions that organize our belief and behavior.
Today let’s give careful thought to the pillars of our faith. What do they mean to us? And how can we better fulfill our promise to keep them?
And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.
[Quran 2:143]

🔺The Third Juz: Resisting the Evil From Outside— and the Evil From Within
Surat Al-Imran (The Family of Imran)
Surat Al-Imran is divided into two parts, the first 120 ayas telling us to remain firm on the straight path that Allah (swt) has given us, resisting influences outside of ourselves. The second part, ayas 120-200, uses the Battle of Uhud as an example of how to prevent mistakes that happen as a result of our own weakness.
Why [is it that] when a [single] disaster struck you [on the day of Uhud], although you had struck [the enemy in the battle of Badr] with one twice as great, you said, "From where is this?" Say, "It is from yourselves." Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. [Quran, 3: 165]
What does this surat say about how to resist evil, both from outside and within?
1. Don’t let your hearts swerve from His guidance.
2. Worship Him with your whole heart.
3. Form a righteous nation that teaches obedience.
4. Have clear goals.
5. Build unity with other Muslims in keeping the covenant of Allah (swt).
Today:
Oh Allah (swt) today let me consider how to remain focused on You, how to worship You, how to build and nurture the ummah, how to develop and pursue excellent goals, and how to increase my unity with the ummah. Let me strive today to find new ways to apply these things to my life, and let me teach others to do the same. Ameen.
[Every day in shaa Allah we will share with you some insight into the message of each juz in the Quran. We pray that you will make it your goal this Ramadan to contemplate each juz and to use it to launch further research on your own— much of the inspiration for these gems came from the book Khawatir Quraniyyah (“Reflections from the Quran”) by Amr Khalid]

🔆Khawatir Quraniyyah Series: Juz 4 AND
🌴Personal Lessons Juz 4
🔹Juz 4:
Surah Ale 'Imran, 93 to An-Nisaa, 23 [3:93-4:23]
Surah An Nisaa calls us to grant justice and mercy, especially to the poor and weak.
It backs up Surat Al-Baqara by being more specific about Muslim responsibility and supports Surat Al-Imran by impressing on us that our position of responsibility on earth involves being fair and kind to those for whom we're responsible and also entails showing love and respect toward those who've cared for us.
It’s important to note that of all the surats, An-Nisa contains the largest number (42) of references to the names of Allah (swt), just in its last few ayahs.
We can conclude that His command to exercise mercy and justice are in fact directives to show forth His light in the world as His slaves.
Today let’s ponder the meaning of An-Nisa and consider specific ways of passing the light of justice and mercy to our lives, homes, neighbours, and daily acquaintances regardless of their religion or social class.
🌴Personal lessons: Juz 4
3:104
Doing dawah is a command of Allah and is not just to the non Muslims but also includes advising other Muslims to good. And most importantly; let your own behaviour be an example!
3:106
Make dua Allah makes you of those whose faces turn white on yawm ul Qiyamah and not black!
3:126
Victory comes from Allah alone. Whenever you achieve something, never get proud and always say alhamdulillah. Eg when you pass an exam, get a job etc
3:134
Jannah is for those who spend in easy AND hard times (money but also time) and who control their anger and pardon people. Let's be more conscious in how we deal with our anger and in how forgiving we are towards those who upset us. Think of Paradise.
3:135
As soon as you do a bad deed, follow it up with a good deed and say astaghfirullah from your heart. We all sin, it's how you deal with it afterwards.
3:140
When you are hurt, think of the believers in the past and know Allah gives you good and "bad" days to test if you keep close to Him and maintain your emaan.
3:145
If you are afflicted with hardship, pain, disappoinment or distress in while trying to do good, don't weaken and remind yourself Allah LOVES the steadfast.
3:147
Even if you have knowledge and are worshipping Allah never think you are guaranteed guidance or yaqeen (steadfastness). Always be humble in your relationship with Allah and keep asking Him to make you sreadfast under all circumstances.
3:150
Whatever the situation, what or who ever you feel like turning to, tell yourself: huwa khayrun naasireen - He is the best of helpers.
3:159
Know that soft speech and gentleness are the key to success while advising others.
3:160
Put Allah first always and nothing or no one can ever overcome you, even if it feels like it.
3:165
When something bad happens, don't ask: where does this come from? It might be because of your own sins! So it's best to increase istighfaar (seeking Allah's forgiveness)
3:173
Increase in saying hasbunAllaahu wa n i'mal wakeel in your daily life!
3:185
Tell yourself you might not make it to the night (your death can be anytime).
3:191
Increase in doing dhikr during your daily routine, eg while cooking, when in bed, when waiting for the bus, while sitting on the sofa.
3:193
Always make dua that you die as a Muslim.
3:200
Sabr is not only dealing with hardship you endure by the hands of people, it is also being patient with (ie resisting) your own evil inclinations!
4:1
Fear Allah in how you deal with people and especially how you deal with family - it's easy to shout and be harsh to your family when you are in a mood, remind yourself to fear Allah.
4:18
Dont say " I will wear hijaab when I am married" or " I will pray five times a day when older". Repentance means you are sorry now and you try to stop doing that sin. Don't keep on sinning and think " I will repent later!"
